The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has praised the surprise team of this year’s World Cup, Morocco, despite their failure to win a medal in Qatar.
Morocco made history after enjoying a historic outing at the 2022 World Cup held in oil-rich Qatar.
They became the first African and Arab nation to reach the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup after they beat Portugal 1-0 in the quarter-finals stage.
The Atlas Lions, however, could not win a medal as they finished fourth, after losing the third-place playoff 2-1 to Croatia on Saturday afternoon.

CAF after the match took to social media to show its appreciation to the North African country for representing the continent meritoriously.
“Thank you Morocco They dared to dream and they absolutely delivered The best ever finish by an African Nation in the #FIFA World Cup,” CAF tweeted.
Africa’s other representatives at Qatar 2022 were Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, and Tunisia.
