The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Sunday announced that some vacant Executive Committee positions will be filled during its 37th Annual General Meeting billed for Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, April 17, 2015.

Also, election to fill two seats of African continent representatives on the Executive Committee of FIFA will be held.
The Secretary General of CAF Hicham El Amrani announced the opening of nominations for the elections in his correspondence to the 54-member Associations on August 23, 2014.
He cited relevant aspects of CAF Statues relating to the elections, “According to the provisions of articles 18 para. 5 and 6 of CAF Statutes, the names of the candidates must be submitted by their National Association and sent to the CAF Secretariat in Cairo either by registered mail, or by express courier, and the deadline for the receipt of candidatures by CAF General Secretariat in Cairo is January 06th 2015.
“The postal stamp of Cairo Post office will be taken as evidence for the candidatures sent,” the CAF Secretary General wrote stressing that the candidatures submitted by hand, by telegram, or by fax shall not be accepted.
“The CAF Executive Committee shall then validate the received candidacies in its meeting scheduled after the deadline stipulated for the reception of applications.”
West Africa Zone B, comprising Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and Togo, is expected to fill one vacancy as Ghana’s Kwesi Nyantakyi, is stepping out.
