Buhari goes on holiday, hands over to Osinbajo till Feb 10

President Muhammadu Buhari has begun a five-day holiday from Friday, February 5, 2016.

Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, in a terse statement, said Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, will perform the functions of the President while Buhari’s vacation lasts.

“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,” reads the statement.

The vacation ends Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
