President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday conferred national honour on the former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Emeka Anyaoku.
Anyaoku was conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger.
Also honoured was the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The CBN governor was given the award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic.
Others who got the CFR honour were the former governors of Osun and Ogun, Bisi Akande and Segun Osoba respectively. Mamman Daura also got the honour.

Olowu of Kuta Oba Adekunle Makama was conferred with the Commander of the Order of Niger.
The national honour is in recognition of Olowu Kuta’s support for the military.
The Olowu-in-Council appreciated Buhari for bestowing the award on their traditional ruler.
The council said history will be kind to the Daura-born army general turned democrat.
Buhari also honoured members of his cabinet.
The president will hand over power to his successor Bola Tinubu on Monday, May 29.
