President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has said the first shipment of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the refinery is ready for the Nigerian market.

At a press conference held in the refinery facility, Dangote unveiled loaded tankers with PMS which he said were ready for delivery to the Nigerian market once they get the approval from the NNPC.

He showed a sample of the PMS. It looks like water in a can. He said that is the highest standard of PMS, saying it can compete with the quality in Europe and America.

He said the refinery will now save Nigeria 40% of the foreign exchange used in importing PMS.

Dangote also said Nigeria can now know the true volume of PMS consumed in the country as the refinery will track all the tankers and ships taking the products to various destinations.
