The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has resumed office at the Wadata Plaza after a High Court in Kebbi directed him to do so.
Secondus had earlier stepped aside from the office of the PDP National Chairman in compliance with an ex parte order of a Degema High Court in Rivers State which ruled against him.
A statement by Ike Abonyi, the spokesman to the PDP national chairman, said Prince Secondus resumed office in obedience to the order of the Kebbi High Court which reinstated him. The court was presided by Justice Nasirat I Umar.
The statement reads: “Sequel to that Prince Secondus who had stayed away from the office as a result of Degema High Court directive even though he was not served resumed and the Deputy National Chairman South, Elder Yemi Akinwomi who held forth in his absence upon receipt of the Court order handed over the affairs of the party him.
“At the brief handover, Prince Secondus pledged to continue providing astute leadership to the party. Elder Akinwomi also announced his receipt of the court order which he presented to the caucus meeting.”
