The incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Seriake Dickson has been re-elected the governor for the next four years with 134,998 votes.
He was declared winner by the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Dickson polled 134,998, while his major challenger, Chief Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 86,852.
