Honourable Independence Ogunewe is dead.
Though details of his death today remain sketchy, Ogunewe once represented Ezinihitte/Ahiazu Mbaise federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives during the Obasanjo administration on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He also had a stint in the Governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration as a special aide to the governor.
