Several people were injured on Sunday as the Kaduna Music Festival widely praised as a good example of organising the youth productively into worthwhile pursuits, has ended in chaos and violence.
Some youths jumped on the stage and threw sticks and bottles at the police but their motive was not yet clear.
Eyewitnesses said police fired teargas and shot into the air as some attendees engaged security operatives in a scuffle at the event organised by the Kaduna State Government.

The violence started as the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Shagali, gave his closing remarks.
