The House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ethiope Federal Constituency, Erhriatake Ibori-Suenu, has defeated the incumbent, Ben Rolands Igbakpa of the New Nigerian People’s Party.
Ibori-Suenu is the daughter of a former governor of Delta State and Leader of the PDP in the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu was declared winner of the Ethiope Federal Constituency by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The certified result of the House of Representatives election from the constituency as released by INEC shows PDP 20,814 votes; APC 15,172; NNPP 8,901; APGA 2,155; ADC 637; ZLP 563.
