BREAKING: Fire razes FIIRO office, destroys properties worth millions of naira
A raging fire has razed the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO) office in Oshodi, Lagos, near Cappa Bus Stop.
Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) personnel are battling to contain the blaze which reportedly broke out around midnight on Wednesday. Rescue efforts continued as of 4am on Thursday and ongoing.
No casualties have been reported so far, but the fire has extensively destroyed property worth millions of naira.
Efforts are underway to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining offices and buildings.
The cause of the fire is not known yet.
