A young woman of about 34 years and a mother of two (names withheld) was attacked by the family’s two Alsatian dogs when she returned home in Lagos on Friday April 26, 2019.
The unfortunate woman, who went out to buy something, was said to have no knowledge that the dogs were loose when she entered the family compound at Raymond Opara street, Okota, Lagos State.
While the dogs dragged their victim to the ground, the woman’s sister, who was insode, called on neighbours and the Police to help save her sister from the dogs.
The early arrival of the Police, it was said, had no effect as the dogs kept tearing the woman’s flesh.
But the saving grace was the arrival of a neighbour, who came and unleashed his own two big dogs to distract the others before their victim was rescued and taken to hospital.
On enquiry it was gathered that the victim’s husband was not at home when the incident occurred.
The victims sister, who witness the gory sight, also said that nobody was safe when the dogs were not chained, while confirming that her sister was serious wounded by the dogs.
