BREAKING: Confusion as video shows protesters reportedly invading Yobe Govt House

By Ishaya Ibrahim

The Government House in Damaturu, Yobe State is reportedly being invaded by hundreds of protesters who climbed through its gate and fence to gain access into the premises.

Youths have been embarking on a 10-day protest to draw the attention of the government to their plight.

The protest was exacerbated in the north following the nationwide broadcast by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It however relaxed in Abuja and Lagos due largely to the government’s heavy deployment of security agencies to cripple the protest.

In Kaduna, the protesters turned riotous as they attempted to attack the government house save for a 24-hour curfew.

Recall that on day one of the protest, the protesters attempted to invade the government house in Kano and Katsina until the military was mobilized to halt their advance.

A video has now surfaced on social media showing hundreds of youths climbing the gates and fence of the government house in Damaturu, Yobe State in what looks like an invasion. The 19-second video showed no activity of security agents during the invasion.
