President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast to Nigerians on Thursday (today) at 7am.
This was made known in a tweet late Wednesday by Bashir Ahmad, Special Assistant on Digital Communications to President Buhari.

Ahmad, who also doubles as Deputy Director, Special Media Projects/New Media, APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), tweeted at 11.46pm on Wednesday:
“President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast tomorrow, February 16, 2023 at 7 am.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the NTA and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
The reason for the broadcast or what would be addressed by the president was however, not stated.
But Aso Rock sources told TheNiche it has to do with the Naira redesign project of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
There wer speculations late on Wednesday that Buhari may have succumbed to pressure from APC members to extend the period of time the old currency will be in use.
