Bayelsa Gov Diri dumps PDP

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri said on Wednesday that he has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor’s announcement at the exco chamber in the Bayelsa State Government House comes just 24 hours after his colleague in Enugu State, Peter Mbah, also left the opposition.
Diri is expected to join Mbah in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
TheNiche learnt that the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abraham Ngobere, along with 18 lawmakers, also tendered their resignation from the PDP.
