The Appeal Court in Yola has acquitted Balla Ngilari, the immediate past governor of Adamawa State of corruption charges preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bala Ngilari was earlier convicted but released from prison under controversial circumstances. In March the Yola High Court granted Ngilari N100 million bail with two sureties, who must deposit Certificates of Occupancy of landed property owned in Yola.
