Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on Friday, September 22, 2017, took over Best Western Hotel Limited (Ikeja Hotels) over its N27 billion debt to the Oceanic Bank.

As early as 7:00am AMCOM officials and Policemen stormed the Allen Avenue Ikeja-based hotel, chased out customers and workers before locking it up.
At press time, the walls of the hotel are written: “This property belongs to AMCON.”
But a source from the hotel said that the management was only owing N12 billion and not N27 billion.
