Barely 24 hours after he was confirmed as the substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock on Thursday
Bawa was confirmed by the Senate on Thursday. He is the first substantive chairman of the anti-corruption agency in at least five years. His predecessor, Ibrahim Magu, was in acting capacity because the Senate refused to confirmation his nomination.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, joined in the close-door meeting a few minutes after it started.
