Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface has begged Nigerian football fans to be patient with him, saying ‘My goal will come’

The Nigerian international made the plea on his Instagram story after helping his German club to win a Bundesliga match.

The 24-year-old scored in Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 victory over Bochum on Friday night.

The goal was his 11th of the season for Xabi Alonso’s side.

Speaking via his verified social media handle after the encounter, Boniface urged Nigerian supporters to give him more.

He also reassured them that he will soon break his international goal drought.

He wrote, “Nigerians please be patient with me, the goal will come.”

Nigeria are currently in the fourth position in their group after surrendering a 1 goal lead to Zimbabwe in a recent 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
