At least 21 persons were feared dead and several others injured at Dakasoye village, Garun Mallam Local Goverment Area of Kano State on Friday, when a suicide bomber hit a Shia procession on their way to Zaria, an eye-witness said.
The incident which occurred around 2.00pm was said to have affected mostly women and children.
A local journalist, Ali Kakaki who was at the scene of the blast said the sad incident occurred shortly after a middle-aged man was caught with Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) which he detonated.
