According to him, the Republican candidate in the November presidential election only loves America whenever he wins an election.

Biden said, “You cannot say you love your country only when you win.”

He also said he has served the country meritoriously for 50 years and appreciated Americans for giving him the opportunity to serve.

“I made a lot of mistake in my career, but I gave my best to you. For 50 years…I give my heart and my soul to our nation…I was too young to be in the Senate…and too old to stay as president. I hope you know how grateful I am to all of you.” Biden added.

He went on to deny reports that he harbors resentments against Democratic party members calling on him to drop out of the presidential race.

“All this talk about how I’m angry at all the people who said I should step down — that’s not true,” Biden said. “It’s been the honor of my lifetime to serve as your president. I love the job, but I love my country more.”

Instead, he said he was focused on finishing out the remaining five months of his term: “I’ve got five months left in my presidency. I’ve got a lot to do. I intend to get it done.”

At the end of his almost hour-long speech, Biden was joined on stage by his family, including Jill Biden, along with Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff.
