Beckham hails Bukayo Saka after World Cup exploit

Beckham also said the best goals of the just concluded 2022 World Cup held in Qatar were scored by Mexico’s Chavez and Brazil’s Richarlison

Manchester United legend, David Beckham has described young Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka and Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham as ‘quality’ and Britain’s best prospects in the future.  

Beckham also revealed his favourite goals from the just concluded Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup during a chat with BeanymanSports.

Argentina, after 36 years of waiting, defeated defending champions, France, 4-2 on penalties to win the World Cup on Sunday following a 3-3 draw after extra time. 

Former England winger, Beckham, during the interview was asked about the Three Lions following their run to the quarter-finals where they were beaten by France.

He said,” You look at the quality of Bukayo Saka and then you look at the quality of Jude Bellingham and the players that we have coming through in our country.

“I think it’s a real positive.”

The former Real Madrid man went on to say his favourite goals at the tournament were the thunderbolt scored by Chavez of Mexico against Saudi Arabia and Richarlison’s scissor kick.

“I think Richarlison’s scissor kick for me was one of the best [goals].

“There’s been great goals all the way through the tournament, but if I had to pick two it would be Chavez’s and Richarlison’s. I’m going to have to say that was a very special one.” Beckham added.
