Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality star and actor, Seyi Awolowo has revealed that he grew up in a polygamous home and that he’s childhood was not a bed of roses.
He made this known recently, during an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
According to the Nollywood thespian, he and his siblings were disowned by their father who married three wives on several occasions.
He also recalled that his father’s decision to cut his children off through letters always leave them feeling disconnected and unloved.
The grandson of late Nigerian nationalist and statesman, Obafemi Awolowo, went on to reveal that his dad kept detailed files on each child.
Speaking during the chat, Seyi said, “My father disowned me a couple of times. Not just me, a couple of us because my father married three wives.
“My father wrote letters to cut off his children, reducing our identities to mere names on a list. We all have files. ‘As of right now, your name is just Seyi, full stop.”
