BBNaija’s Hermes says celebrity lifestyle is expensive

Hermes also complained about the hike in prices of consumables and other items at the markets and how difficult is it to buy them

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ star, Hermes Chibueze Iyele better known as Hermes has taken to social media to cry out about how prices of goods have skyrocketed and how difficult it is to maintain his celebrity status.

Hermes is one of the twenty-eight contestants who took part in the 2022 edition of the just concluded TV reality show in which a female housemate, Phyna won the N100 million grand prize.

In a now-viral video shared on his official Instagram page, the BBNaija star said ‘sapa’ (lack of money) has made life tough for him since he got out of the show.

The 25-year-old went on to complain about the hike in prices of consumables and other items at the markets, appealing to his fans and followers to suggest a way out.

In his words; “Omo what is happening exactly? Since I got out of Big Brother Naija e no get wetin person wan buy.

“Things go just go up and e no dey ever come down. Bro Sapa dey. I’ve been trying to buy things, everything just dey expensive.”

Meanwhile, the Big Brother Naija Season 7 level-up housemate, recently paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), the Ooni of Ife at the Royal Palace in Ife.

Hermes’s visit, which was based on the king’s special invitation to the reality TV star, was to celebrate the foremost Yoruba monarch’s 48th birthday on Monday.

Oba Ogunwusi, who assumed the royal throne as the 51st Ooni of Ife was born on October 17, 1974.
