According to Diane, she met and got married to her best friend, and an amazing man after leaving the show.

“I am married dear. With two kids. My husband is the most amazing human I’ve met. I married my best friend and we are just so happy. My marriage is two years and counting.”

In November 2020, Diane advocated legalising lesbianism in Nigeria, after one of her fans expressed a similar wish.

“I’m so attracted to girls! I wish lesbianism is legal, I would love to date a girl.” the fan wrote.

Replying to her, Diane Russet wrote:

“This conversation hmm. I doubt Nigeria will because we are too religious. Won’t type much before someone misquote me. I will love to see it legalized though.”

Her advocacy generated backlash, as a lot of netizens and her fans expressed reservations for her position, with someone calling for her prosecution.

Diane was also romantically involved with a fellow ex-BBNaija housemate, Elozonam who parted ways with her after accusing her of abandoning him for other guys at different times.
