Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Angel Smith, has argued that contrary to the impression that women are expected to use birth control, men in Nigeria ought to be the ones using it.
Angel made the assertion while chatting with her fellow housemates on Tuesday morning, saying she stopped using injectable birth control because the effects are “crazy.”
According to the controversial 23-year-old reality star, using injectable birth control results in anger and depression.
In her words: “I stopped using injectable birth control because the effects are crazy. Men should be the ones taking it. You’ll just wake up and be angry and depressed for no reason,”

Meanwhile, another BBNaija All Stars housemate, Mercy Eke, on Monday night, walked out of a meeting convened by the first Head of House (HoH), Adekunle.
The HoH convened the meeting after Mercy flouted the rules of the reality show by invading the Head of House lounge and asking Adekunle and his friends Soma, Cross, Seyi and Frodd to come out to the garden for practice.
When Adekunle and his friends refused to go to the garden on the grounds that they were tired, Mercy lambasted him, saying he does not behave like a Head of House.
She also warned him that none of his friends would be lenient with him should any of them emerge Head of House in the future.
Angered by Mercy’s outburst, Adekunle convened a meeting at the lounge with all the housemates, but Mercy stormed out midway.
Prior to this development, Mercy had accused Adekunle of not being gender sensitive after picking only male housemates to share the HoH room with him.
