Romantic relationships have developed between several housemates in this year’s Big Brother Nigeria Season 6 “Shine Ya Eye Edition.”
While many of those relationships have since gone cold, few are still surviving the harsh reality and burden that comes with being entangled while playing the game.
One of such relationships is that of Liquorose, a 26-year-old professional dancer, and Emmanuel, an engineer, a model and the reigning “Mr Africa”.
Their love story and that between Saga, an artist, and Nini, one of the by-racial competitors that entered the game this season, are the two relationships currently surviving the storm.
Other relationships, such as the ones between Sammie and Angel, Boma and Queen, Michael and Jackie B, JayPaul and Saskay, Boma and the married competitor, Tega, and Cross and Saskay, have either broken down or are more of a “situationship” than a relationship.
Liquorose, however, told Big Brother in her Tuesday dairy session, that she treats the romantic relationship between her and her love interest, with a lot of caution, because she does not want to get heart broken or develop mental health issues at the end of the day.
She confessed that they have feelings for each other and she knows what they have is mutual,. She also claimed that Emmanuel is her favourite person and she is only reciprocating his love gestures.
“I like him and he likes me too. I feel him and he feels me too, I’m trying to reciprocate whatever he brings my way and he is my favourite person in the house but I don’t think we are in a relationship.
“And also, I’m more focused on winning the price, and the money is more important to me. Not that I don’t like Emmanuel, I like him a whole lot, but right now, I’m guiding my heart because we are still in here, and I’m trying to process a lot of things,” she told Big Brother.
Some of the housemates have questioned Emmanuel’s sincerity.
Angel, for instance, believes the relationship is one-sided and Emmanuel does not like Liquorose, the way she likes him.
