It has been a mix grill of sober and happy moments in the Big Brother house as Zambia’s Resa and Mozambique’s Mira were evicted. Six others, including the two Nigerians in the house, have been nominated for eviction today.
BBADreams are collapsing for the Big Brother Hotshots, as the first two housemates who got evicted also shared their post-eviction intentions.
After the first week, the housemates went all out to impress the continent, well aware that all of them, excluding Laveda who won the title of Head of House (HOH) after scoring highest with the studio audience during the talent show, were up for eviction.
Africa voted, and with 12 housemates failing to win a country vote, the tie-breaker rule came into effect. The result, independently verified by auditors, SizweNtsalubaGobodo, was that Resa – the first housemate to be sent home in the Big Brother Hotshots, and Mira had drawn the least support from the continent.
The first week was introductory for housemates as they got to know each other. They won their first task advertising their Hotshots talents with posters, impressing Big Brother with their skills. Groups were formed; the first signs of mischief caused a stir and some housemates got quite close. Mira planted kisses on Luis and Nhlanhla during the first party, and Idris and Goitse hooked up almost immediately. Lilian got a bum massage from Luis.
The housemates also got to participate in their first Extravaganza Task. Laveda chose the two teams and immediately caused opposition when it appeared she had pitted the ‘artists’ against the ‘intellectuals’. As it turned out, team Waka Waka (the ‘intellectuals) impressed viewers most with its performance and won immunity from nomination this week.
Unfortunately for two group members, Mira and Resa, that prize came rather late; but it did give Sheillah, Nhlanhla, Luis, Macky2, Trezagah, Mr. 265, Sipe, Idris, Ellah, Butterphly and M’am Bea some room to breathe this week with the immunity of being evicted.
