Bauchi State Command of the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) has dispelled the insinuation that Bauchi State Government was feeding inmates across prisons in the state.
The state Command’s Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Prisons Service, Dsp Adam Abubakar Jibrin, stated this in Bauchi.
In the statement titled, “Alleged Feeding of Prison Inmates by Bauchi State Government: A Rejoinder” the command described as untrue and false claims that Bauchi State government was feeding the inmates in the prisons across the state.
It described the statement credited to an aide of the government and an APC stalwart as “misleading and falsehood.
“The attention of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Bauchi State Command has been drawn to a purported claim made by an APC party stalwart in the state in a Globe FM radio programme tagged, “Daga Kananan Hukumomi”
“Where he erroneously listed the feeding of prison inmates in the state as part of the achievements of Bauchi State government under the leadership of Governor M. A. Abubakar.”
