No fewer than 83 people have been killed when bandits launched attacks across some villages in Zamfara State, leaving hundreds of others injured, including women and children on April 21.
The affected communities include the state capital, Gusau, Maradun and Bakura local government areas of Zamfara State.
The chairman of Bakura local government, Aminu Suleiman, explained that in Bakura and Maradun communities, more than 30 persons were killed in the attacks.
