“Nobody would tell you that they are entirely happy with the way the country is going. There is too much hunger, insecurity, and bloodshed ….
“The bottom line is that Nigerians are going to say, ‘What have you done with the first four years we gave you?’. Don’t take us for granted. We can vote you out if the election is free and fair. So show us what you’ve done” – Baba-Ahmed.

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a member of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) who recently resigned as an aide to Bola Tinubu, has alerted the President that Nigerians can give him “the Goodluck Jonathan treatment” of one term and vote him out in 2027.
Despite the lies being throttled by Tinubu’s praise singers, he stressed, “nobody is entirely happy with the way” he is ruling the country.
Baba-Ahmed reiterated on Channels Television that there is too much hunger, insecurity, and bloodshed in the country such that the NEF was not surprised by his decision to quit as Adviser to Tinubu.
“Some members of the Northern Elders Forum knew about my feelings about the job, about the administration, about the direction this country was going.
“They knew I was unhappy about many things. So it wasn’t entirely a surprise when I walked around and said I am back.
“Nobody would tell you that they are entirely happy with the way the country is going. There is too much hunger, insecurity, and bloodshed.”
He implored Tinubu to focus less on political calculations and more on governance, saying the electorate will ultimately judge him on his performance in office.
“The bottom line is that Nigerians are going to say, ‘What have you done with the first four years we gave you?’. Don’t take us for granted. We can vote you out if the election is free and fair. So show us what you’ve done.”
