Azumi, Atawodi to represent NigeriaaAt World Youth Chess tourney

The Nigeria Chess Federation (NCF) has selected two Kogi state U18 players, Aishat Suleman Azumi and Emmanuel Atawodi to represent Nigeria at the World Youth Chess championship, which will hold in Montevideo, Uruguay between September 16 to 26, 2017.
In a statement signed by the Secretary General of NCF, Olabisi Aziz said the federation decided to nominate both players based on their outstanding performances at various national competitions.
Head coach, Kogi state chess Association, Innocent Ichado expressed happiness over the selection of the Confluence state player as he said,
“The trip to Uruguay means a lot for the players and I’m confident they will excel”
