AY warns Nigerians against lavish spending during xmas, New Year

Nollywood actor, comedian, radio and TV presenter, Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY Makun has given a piece of advice to Nigerians ahead of the new year.

Sharing his thoughts via his Instagram page, AY urged his fans to “take lots of pictures” as they enjoy the festive season, because they will “need them in January*

According to the comic actor, the pictures they snapped while making merry during the Christmas and New Year will serve as a reminder in January that no one stole their money.

Speaking via his social media post, AY wrote: “Take lots of pictures while you’re having fun because you’ll need them in January to reassure yourself that no one stole your money.”

After the post made the rounds on social media, it elicited a series of amusing responses from followers who found humour in AY Makun’s lighthearted take on the financial aftereffect of the festive season.

Commenting, an IG user, @babbz wrote: “It’s definitely a long January… It’s 5weeks in total for January so prepare for the unthinkable… Spend wisely and don’t impress anyone…”
