It has been a fantastic international break for Arsenal players on international duties,  as some of them scored crucial goals for their respective countries in various competitions.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal captain scored the first goal in the 2-1 defeat of Angola to keep Gabon’s slim chance of qualifying for the World cup in Qatar going.

His Ivorian counterpart and Arsenal winger, Nicholas Pepe was also on target when Cote d’Ivoire defeated Malawi 2-1 to stay in front of another African football powerhouse, Cameroon.

Arsenal and Ghanian midfielder, Thomas Partey was also in with a shout, as his country dispatched Zimbabwe 3-1 to remain 1 point behind the group leader, South Africa in their World cup qualifying group.

Their European counterparts were also in the mix, as Nigerian-born British player, Bukayo Saka scored in the 5-0 demolishing of Andorra.

Emile Smith Rowe and Nuno Tavaras were also on target for England and Portugal respectively in the U21 games played over the weekend with Smith Rowe winning the man-of-the-match award.

All these were confirmed by Arsenal’s Correspondent at goal.com, Charles Watts who took to his verified Twitter handle to tweet these feats after the matches on Monday night.

“Goals for Pepe and Aubameyang today, adding to Partey’s and Saka’s strikes over the weekend. Nuno Tavares as well for Portugal U21s.

It’s been a good international break in terms of goals so far for Arsenal players.” Watts twitted.

Action is expected to resume in the English Premier League (EPL) on Saturday when Arsenal will face their London rival Crystal Palace at the Emirate Stadium, the Gunners home ground.
