Daniel Bwala, an aide to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Nigeria’s new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President, Kashim Shettima even though his party is challenging their emergence in court.

Bwala was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) before he decamped to the major opposition party, PDP.

However, after Tinubu and Shettima took the oath of office, the PDP chieftain took to his social media page to congratulate the new Nigerian leaders.

He went on to pray for God’s wisdom and courage for the new leaders so that they can govern the country effectively and efficiently.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote: “May I congratulate Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT and Kashim Shetima @KashimSM for taking the oath of office and allegiance as the 16th President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to defend the constitution and administer the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I pray that God almighty give you both the wisdom and courage to govern this great nation with honesty, sincerity and integrity. My best wishes politics aside.”

Prior to this development, Bwala had disagreed with his former party after it fielded two Muslims as their presidential and vice presidential candidates.

He also filed a suit in April against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, over alleged N120 million debt.

According to him, he is being owed legal fees for services rendered to the ruling party, while he was with them.
