Atiku also called for the immediate reinstatement of Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, his deputy, and state legislators

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has alleged that the leadership of the National Assembly, under Senate President, Godswill Akpabio is corrupt.
He made this known during a recent interview on ‘Untold Stories With Adesua of Arise TV, where he criticized the National Assembly’s approval of President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Atiku, while speaking on the programme, also argued that President Tínubu’s action is “an abuse of power”, adding that it was politically motivated.

He further called for the immediate reinstatement of Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, his deputy, and state lawmakers.
He went on to say Akpabio is known to be an abuser of women, adding that he got many reports against the Senate President.
“I was not surprised because I know the leadership is corrupt, no apologies about that. They could do anything, and the Senate President is known to have that type of character even when he was a governor,” Atiku stated.
The former VIce President further alleged that Akpabio engaged in misconduct beyond financial corruption, claiming, “He was not only corrupt as a governor, but he was also in the habit of abusing women.”
