Asake during a concert in Lagos on Thursday night, left some Nigerians who had gone to catch a glimpse of him and listened to his hits tracks heartbroken

Afrobeat star, songwriter and YBNL signee, Ahmed Ololade known professionally as Asake, sent the internet buzzing after shocking his fans and other fun seekers during a recent show.
Asake had during his concert in Lagos on Thursday night, December 22, left a lot of Nigerians who had gone to catch a glimpse of him and listened to some of his hits tracks heartbroken.
Videos that made the rounds on social media after the event revealed the “Electricity ” crooner shocked a lot of his fans who had turned out massively, after spending just an hour on stage.
As seen in the clips, many fun lovers who are used to late arrivals by Nigerian artistes were proved wrong by Asake, who showed up at the show at about 11:37pm and performed till 12:39PM.

However, by the time a lot of Nigerians who are used to coming late for concerts would arrive at the venue of the show, the 30-year-old was done and had left the stage.
Asake’s decision to turn up early for the show has since sparked mixed reactions online, with most of those who commented hailing the singer for sticking to time and changing the narrative associated with Nigerian singers.
An IG user identified as divinealfed5 said: “MR money nor de waste time.”
Another netizen, namdiioni wrote: “Una Dey complain say artist Dey come and perform late, now Mr money came and performed early, you’re complaining. What exactly do u people want? .”
Olaoluwafm added: “Asake shock won bakan, Mr money in the building.”
Another internet user, rapsonog said: “I heard @asakemusik shocked many last night Mr Money no dey waste time Now, make I flex my 70k as I no go there.”
While mktizzle wrote: “Mr money dan cash out again lowkey.”
