Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has warned table topping Liverpool against complacency in the fight for the English Premier League (EPL) title this season, saying results can change.
Speaking ahead of his side’s league match against fellow London club, West Ham on Saturday, Arteta reminded the Reds that their eight-point lead in the league could vanish easily.
Liverpool boss, Arne Slot, last week warned his players not to get “carried away” after they beat Southampton 3-2.
Re-echoing the Dutch tactician’s sentiments, Arteta, who finished second in the last two seasons, reminded Liverpool that being a front runner for almost a whole campaign is no guarantee of success.

Arsenal were top for 248 days of the 2022/2023 season and still lost out to Manchester City.
Speaking during his pre-match conference, Arteta said: “We’ve been there and to sustain it for 10 months is extremely difficult – everything has to go your way.
“Just when you think you have it, plop! Everything collapses.
“Results can change through injuries, decisions and it can happen at any moment. You have to be ready for that but it’s something you can’t always control. All you can control is to do your very best.”
