Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has admitted that the Gunners may not be able to compete for the Premier League’s title this season if their growing fitness concerns persist.
The Spanish tactician made this known after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The North London club took the lead in the second half through Gabriel Martinelli but were pegged back after Pedro Neto found the back of the net for Enzo Maresca’s side
The result leaves Arsenal in fourth position with 9 points behind league leaders, Liverpool on the Premier League table.

Arteta’s side are also behind league champions, Manchester City who are second and Chelsea, who are in the third place.
When asked to rate Arsenal’s chance of lifting the title after the draw against Chelsea during his post-match interview, Arteta said, “There’s nothing that we can do about that.
“What I’m praying is that we have the team fully physically equipped. It’s been a nightmare.
“So I’m just asking that because the desire and how much we want it, there’s no question.”
