Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said he is yet to ascertain the extent of the injuries suffered by his captain, Martin Ødegaard and winger, Bukayo Saka, during the Gunners’ win on Saturday evening.
Arteta’s men thrashed visiting Leeds United 5-0 in a game played in front of a packed crowd at the Emirates Stadium.
Goals from Jurian Timber and Saka in the 34th and 45th minutes respectively gave the home side a 2-0 advantage in the half time.
In the second half, another goal from Timber and a brace from Arsenal’s new striker, Viktor Gyokeres ensured the north London club cruized to an emphatic victory.
However, Ødegaard picked up what appeared to be a shoulder injury in the first half and was replaced by Ethan Nwaneri.

Saka was also withdrawn in the second half after picking up an injury and replaced by Leandro Trossard.
Speaking after the encounter, Arteta admitted he is “quite concerned” about the injuries suffered by the two stars.
He said, “We have already missed Kai [Havertz] this week and then with Martin it looks like a shoulder injury. We don’t know the extent of that.
“Then with Bukayo, while he was running and wrestling with a defender, he felt something in his hamstring.
“We will have to see, but I’m quite concerned about that.”
Arsenal’s next Premier League fixture is away to Liverpool on Sunday.
