Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has revealed that the three-match ban imposed on
Gunners defender, Myles Lewis-Skelly
has been overturned.
He made this known on Tuesday night while speaking ahead of his team’s final UEFA Champions League (UCL) group game against La Liga club, Girona.
Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card by English referee, Michael Oliver in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday after deeming his foul on Matt Doherty a serious foul play.
Doherty was just outside the Wolves box as he mounted a counter-attack in the 43rd minute, when the incident occurred.

The decision was later upheld by Darren England, who was the video assistant referee (VAR) and FA later confirmed the young defender will serve a three-match ban.
However, Arsenal appealed against the decision to send off the 18-year-old and an independent regulatory commission upheld their claim of wrongful dismissal, the Football Association confirmed.
Addressing the development during his UCL pre-match conference, Arteta said, “We’re very happy that decision has been made,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said
“The club has put all the evidence and everything it could put together to defend our position, and it was pretty fast. It’s good to know today basically, that’s helpful.
“Now we have more options because he’s going to be available and that’s something very positive for the team.”
