Arteta confirms Kieran Tierney’s availability for Arsenal’s UCL clash against Sporting

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has announced another injury boost ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash against Sporting CP on Tuesday.

The Spanish tactician made this known while delivering team news at his pre-match conference.

The Gunners are looking to put together a run of wins, after defeating Nottingham Forest 3-0 in a Premier League fixture played at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Prior to this win, the North London club have not won a match in four games in all competitions. 

Speaking before the UCL encounter against Sporting, Arteta confirmed that almost all his players are fit to play against the Portuguese club.

He went on to add that Kieran Tierney is back with the squad and is in line to make his first appearance of the campaign after a lengthy injury.

Addressing journalists ahead of the match, Arteta said, “Everybody here is fully fit to start the game and a bonus as well because we have Kieran Tierney with us after a long injury.

“Great news that he’s back and he’s available to participate.”
