The first half ended with Arsenal leading 1-0 but Reiss Nelson who replaced Saka, doubled the lead four minutes after the restart, before quickly adding his second in the 52nd minute to make it 3-0 to the Gunners.

With his goals, he became the first Englishman to score a double as a substitute for Arsenal in the Premier League and scored his first Arsenal goal since November 2020 in the process.

Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard scored in the 57th and 78 minutes respectively to add a gloss to the scoreline and restore Arsenal as league leaders.

Visiting Forest, who beat Liverpool at home in their last PL game, remained rooted in the bottom of the league and now have an unwanted -20 goal difference, after their eighth defeat of the season.
