The Brazilian has been a long-term target of the Gunners, but a move has not yet happened.

Rodrygo was equally linked with Manchester City as a potential replacement for Savinho, who was said to be keen on a move to Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur.

However, as reported by Sun UK on Tuesday, Savinho is now set to stay at the Etihad amid a failed move to Spurs.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are still keen on cashing in on £76.8 million rated Rodrygo.

The La Liga giants reportedly contacted Arsenal over a potential swap deal for Rodrygo and their defender, William Saliba recently.

The Gunners, however, rejected the proposal, making it clear they would only consider Rodrygo in a straight signing.

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has so far added six new players to his squad, as he tries to win the English Premier League (EPL) for the first time after coming close in the last three seasons.
