Arsenal left-back, Riccardo Calafiori, has shaken off his injury scare and is expected to feature in his club’s English Premier League (EPL) clash against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The defender was sent home from the Italian camp during the last international break due to injury concerns.

Prior to that, Arsenal’s centre-back, Gabriel Magalhães, had limped off during Brazil’s friendly against Senegal, making him a major doubt for the weekend’s North London derby.

However, The Daily Cannon has now reported that Calafiori will “100 per cent” be ready for the Spurs game.

It is understood that Arsenal have run their own checks and confirmed there’s no serious injury to the Italian international.

The development is a boost for Mikel Arteta amid the worrying injury news involving arguably his best defender this season, Gabriel.
