Argentina have aimed a dig at Canadian rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, known mononymously as Drake, after he lost the $300,000 bet he placed on his country to defeat the World Cup holders in one of Copa America’s semi-finals.
The singer on Tuesday placed a bet on the Copa America semi-final between his country and Argentina and would have taken home $2.8million had Jesse Marsch’s men won the encounter.
The rapper while sharing his bet slip on Instagram wrote : “This could get Messi @stake.”
However, goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi sealed a 2-0 victory for Albiceleste.

In a trending post on social media after the game, Argentina made reference to Kendrick Lamar’s iconic diss track ‘Not Like Us’ targeted at Drake.
The official AFA account posted a picture of Messi and his Argentina team-mates celebrating with the caption: “Not like us, not with us.”
Argentina will take on the winner of today’s semifinal clash between Uruguay and Colombia in the showpiece final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Sunday, July 14.
Canada, on the other hand, would settle for the third-place playoff with the loser of the fixture.
