APGA candidate, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, won the first four local governments declared by INEC, 17 local government results are being awaited.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra election, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has been declared the winner of four Local Government Areas declared so far, by INEC.
Results from 17 Local Governments areas out of the 21 LGAs in Anambra, are still being collated and awaited.
APGA candidate, Soludo won in Anaocha, Awka South, Onitsha South, and Enugu Anambra East.
His closest rival by a distance is Mr. Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Andy Uba of the APC is third.

INEC said the coalition of the remaining 17 LGAs will continue today and the results will be announced as soon as it is available.
Voter turnout has remained low, with less than 20 percent of registered voters casting a ballot (based on collated results)
According to CDD, vote-buying on the side of the politicians and technical glitches on INEC’s part have tainted the otherwise peaceful election.
