All Progressive Congress (APC) apologists have taken to the social media to knock President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who recently appointed a perceived rabid critic of President Muhammadu Buhari as his spokesman.

Adedayo, an experienced hand was on Tuesday named by Lawan as his special adviser on media and publicity.

The APC supporters insist that Lawan drops him over pieces he wrote on Buhari and the party which they perceive anti-them.

They are also insisting that the Senate President picks from among them regardless of whether they have the capacity to deliver or not.

Adedayo, had in an article published in the Cable of March 31, 2019 called out Buhari and the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole of trying to foist the principal officers of the National Assembly on the lawmakers.

He urged the lawmakers to resist Buhari and Oshiomhole just the way former Senate President Bukola Saraki and House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara did in 2015.

He said if unchecked, Buhari has the tendency of becoming a full blown Emperor. But Lawan announced Adedayo’s appointment on June 18 and that of Babagana Muhammad Aji as his chief of staff.

In a statement, special adviser to the senate president on administration, Betty Okoro said the appointment were made on merit, experience and track record.

“The appointments were made based on merit, experience, track record and competency of Aji and Adedayo needed by the Senate President in executing his planned legislative agenda,” she said.

Adedayo is a journalist, columnist and media consultant, who holds a doctorate degree in Political Communication, from the University of Ibadan.

Aji holds a master’s degree in educational planning and administration and another one in public administration , both degrees are from the university of Maiduguri.

But APC youths on social media have expressed their displeasure over the appointment of Adedayo, and demand his immediate sack. They claim he does not deserve such an appointment considering his criticism of the APC led government.
