Nigeria Customs Service has recorded its highest monthly revenue collection in the month of August 2021 with the collection of N206,962,045,202.43 as indicated in an official document in Abuja
The revenue figure was boosted by Apapa Command and others that achieved increases in their collections in the month.
Apapa Command alone collected N87,341,724,817 which is adjudged the highest in the history of the command.
The command generated revenue of N78.4 billion in the month of June, which was an increase of over 90% when compared to the N42.4 billion collected in the corresponding month under review.
Addressing newsmen at a press conference in July, Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, Comptroller Malanta Ibrahim Yusuf told journalists that his men are motivated to achieve revenue increase.
“The Command has taken a giant stride in the just-concluded month of June which yielded an outstanding result in its revenue generation.”
