Tambuwal served as minority leader, deputy chief whip and 10th Speaker of House of Representatives before becoming Governor
Chieftain and Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has felicitated with Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal on his 56th birthday, praising the Governor for diligently serving Nigeria in the past 22 years.
Tambuwal was a former House of Reps member and current Governor of Sokoto State.
In a congratulatory birthday message, personally signed by Anyim, he recalled the over twenty years Tambuwal had served the country in various capacities and prayed the Almighty God to continue to protect Tambuwal who is also the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

Anyim said in the message: “I join your family, friends, associates and the good people of Sokoto State to rejoice with Your Excellency on this joyous occasion of your 56th birthday.
“For over 22 years, you have diligently served our dear country in various capacities, as Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Deputy Chief Whip, Speaker of the House of Representative, Executive Governor of Sokoto State since the 29th of May 2015, Chairman, PDP Governors Forum and Vice-Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum.”
Anyim, who is a frontline presidential aspirant for next year’s general elections went further to tell Governor Tambuwal that: “As you continue your worthy services to the good people of Sokoto State and our dear country, I pray that God Almighty will continue to guide and protect you.
“I wish you a happy celebration and many more years of fruitful service to our dear country and humanity. Happy 56th birthday Your Excellency,” Anyim concluded.
Tambuwal was born on January 10, 1966. He became governor of Sokoto State in 2015 and was re-elected in the 2019 general elections.
Tambuwal served as the 10th Speaker of the House of Representatives, representing the Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency of Sokoto State.
